Statement of Commitment

Oakdale Golf and Country Club is committed to ensuring equal access and participation for people with disabilities. We are committed to treating people with disabilities in a way that allows them to maintain their dignity and independence.

We believe in integration, and we are committed to meeting the needs of people with disabilities in a timely manner. We will do so by removing and preventing barriers to accessibility and by meeting our accessibility requirements under Ontario’s accessibility laws.

Service Animals and Support Persons

Oakdale Golf and Country Club is committed to welcoming people with disabilities who are accompanied by a service animal and/or a support person.

Fees for Support Persons

A fee will be charged for Support Persons who accompanies a person with a disability, and who utilizes the services provided by Oakdale Golf and Country Club (i.e. plays golf). In this case, the regular fees would apply.

Support Persons accompanying a person with a disability who does not utilize any of the services provided by Oakdale Golf and Country Club (i.e. rides in the golf cart with the person they are assisting, but does not have golf clubs or play the game) will not be charged a fee.

Assistive Devices

Oakdale Golf and Country Club is committed to serving people with disabilities who use assistive devices to obtain, use or benefit from our goods and services.

Notice of Temporary Disruption

In the event that a disruption in service is planned, and expected, notice of the disruption will be posted at the facility in a conspicuous location and will include the reason for the disruption, its anticipated duration, and a description of any alternatives available.

In the event of an unexpected disruption in service, notice may be provided in a variety of ways, and will be done as quickly as possible.

Accessibility Feedback

Feedback from our customers provides Oakdale Golf and Country Club with opportunities to learn and improve. We recognize the right of our customers to make a complaint, a compliment or suggest ways to improve our services.

To ensure that the delivery of goods and services to persons with disabilities is provided in an effective and timely manner, customers are invited to provide their feedback in any preferred format including, but not limited to:

Upon request, Oakdale Golf and Country Club will provide or arrange for accessible formats and communication supports. They will acknowledge receipt and outline any actions that will be taken in response to the feedback received.
